Prep: Was a three-year letterwinner for Head Coach Jeff Hopkins at Collierville High School... Jones joined current Tigers Matt Yokley and Marc Ashley at Collierville as the Dragons claimed the 2005 District 15-AAA and Sectional titles, before playing to a third-place finish in the TSSAA Class AAA State Baseball Tournament...As a junior at CHS, Jones was perfect in three pitching decisions with a 2.10 ERA and a save en route to guiding the Dragons to a 34-14 mark and the 2006 District 15-AAA and Regional championships...Helped CHS capture its second consecutive third-place showing in the TSSAA Class AAA State Baseball Tournament...Named to the TBCA Showcase's "Who Hot List" by Perfect Game...Played summer ball for Dulin's Dodgers and helped lead his 18-U squad to a World Series crown in the summer...Was instrumental in the championship run, pitching a complete-game victory in the semifinal round...Finished the Series with a 0.78 ERA...Came to CHS as a sophomore after a stellar freshman year at Jonesboro High School in Jonesboro, Ga., where he lettered one year...Helped guide JHS to a State playoff appearance...Posted a dominating 0.27 ERA and hit .438 as a freshman dual-position standout at Jonesboro High.
